ABOUT THE POSITION

We’re seeking a dedicated Software Developer who is passionate about building reliable, efficient, and user-focused applications. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and test software solutions that meet organizational needs while adhering to established standards in architecture design, development practices, and security. This role involves collaborating across teams to deliver innovative solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance. Candidates should have strong knowledge of modern development platforms, software engineering methodologies, and database design principles. With opportunities to contribute to both new development and support of existing applications, this position offers a chance to grow technical expertise while driving impactful projects. 


Key responsibilities: 

  • Software Development: Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that meets customer and organizational needs using C#, .Net, and Angular.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit, integration, functional, and performance testing to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Application Support: Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting existing applications, resolving issues promptly.
  • Design & Prototyping: Develop prototypes, wireframes, and user flows that align with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor application performance, identify root causes of issues, and implement solutions.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation including design evaluations, test results, and manuals.
  • Collaboration: Work on cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions and configure vendor-provided applications when needed.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY

This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court. 


SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the final filing date of this bulletin:


  • OPTION I: 4+ years' experience in software development. 
  • OPTION II: Associate’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field -AND- 2+ years' experience in software development.
  • OPTION II: Bachelor’s degree or higher* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field -AND- 1+ years’ experience in software development.

Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.


DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal applicant will meet the following preferred criteria:


  • Back-end development: proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core for building scalable business logic and RESTful APIs
  • Front-End Development: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. Familiarity with Angular and React. Experiences with MSAL Authentication and Microsoft Graph
  • Database Management: Ability to write and optimize SQL queries and manage data using Entity Framework Core and SQL Server
  • Cloud & DevOps: Practical knowledge of Azure services, proficiency in using DevOps and/or GitHub, familiar with CI/CD pipeline management
  • Development Environments and tools: Mastery of Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, Git, SQL Management Studio, Postman, Application Insights.  Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or large language models (LLMs) for code generation, refactoring, or documentation.
