JOB OVERVIEW: The Marketing Specialist will play a key role within the Marketing Department by leading all social media and content creation efforts across four distinct brands and four major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok). This role will focus on driving engagement, elevating brand visibility, and boosting ancillary revenue for Sun Hill Properties. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will also provide cross-functional support to all Marketing Managers, ensuring cohesive messaging and content execution across all brands.

 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

 

  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content & copy tailored to each platform and brand 
  • Develop and maintain platform specific content calendars ensuring consistency and alignment with brand goals 
  • Leads engagement on social media accounts by replying in our brand voice to each comment, direct message, and email.
  • Manage influencer marketing programs, including identification, vetting, and coordination of partnerships to drive reach, engagement, and brand awareness
  • Monitor, track, and analyze organic social media performance to inform strategy, optimize content, and report on key metrics
  • Stay informed on social media trends, algorithm updates, and emerging platforms to ensure strategies remain innovative and effective
  • Actively engage with followers to foster a strong sense of community and maintain brand loyalty across all platforms
  • Supports paid social campaigns with high quality content that reflects brand messaging 

 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

 

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

 

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong storytelling skills
  • Understands the hotel structure and how each department interacts.
  • Ability to act independently and accomplish goals on a timely basis
  • Must be creative and have the ability to develop content that is engaging for all written promotions and guest communication.
  • Must possess above average computer skills including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Photoshop or similar Graphics Program, Canva, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. 
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a friendly and positive manner in addition to being able to effectively problem solve when necessary.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
  • Must be available to work weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or combination of experience and education   

 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in social media and content marketing 

 

Licenses or certificates: Not required

 

Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.  (Specific Standards are Available)

 

ScheduleThe work schedule is based on the demands of the business you must be available days, nights, overnights, weekends, and/or holiday availability are required.

 

Other: Applicants with additional language skills preferred.

 

Work Area: Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems
