Description

Mission-driven, non-profit community developer and affordable home builder seeks highly motivated individual for the position of Marketing & Communication Specialist.


The successful candidate will prepare correspondence for the marketing and development team, coordinate and schedule meetings, and maintain calendars.  Maintain the web page in conjunction with MIS department.  Manage the development and dissemination of the newsletter.  Conduct prospect research on potential sources of funding.  Assist in scheduling appointments, and manage the department databases.  Assist in direct mail campaigns, manage social media, and accounts for organization, and assist in the development and implementation of annual events (e.g., annual luncheon, Pride Day, marketing events, etc.).

Maintain marketing and development files, and other administrative files as may be required.  Assist in the management of pledges and donations.  Communication and coordination with internal departments and external resources.  Expense tracking for department, track marketing projects and monitor activity of websites.  Work on special projects as needed.


Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing,  Communications or related field.  Four (4) years of experience in non-profit environment preferred.  Strong research, organizational, and communication skills.  Hands-on experience with web content management tools.  Experience with marketing campaigns on social media.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.  Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
