Position Overview:

CJ ENM USA is seeking a creative, data-driven, and passionate Marketing professional to join our team. This role will report directly to the Marketing Director and play a pivotal role in executing effective marketing strategies for KCON LA and upcoming new entertainment lifestyle events to reach the correct demographic and target customers appropriate for each event. The ideal candidate will be a "K-culture enthusiast" with a strategic mindset, capable of managing digital presence, driving ticket sales through innovative campaigns, and collaborating with global HQ and external agencies to ensure overall event success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event marketing and promotional plans that align with business objectives and drive attendance and engagement.
  • Lead the TikTok strategy and content roadmap for KCON USA; combine strategic oversight of agency deliverables with direct, hands-on content creation (e.g., CapCut, trend-native filming) for rapid response to real-time trends.
  • Architect, launch, and scale social media presences for new CJ ENM USA event brands.
  • Drive brand advocacy by identifying and scaling strategic relationships with key influencers and communities (e.g. Kpop Nara, Music Plaza, Reddit, Discord), ensuring alignment with brand values and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams on various marketing initiatives, including strategic partnership marketing and co-branded promotions.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to oversee high-impact promotional ad campaigns, ensuring strategic budget allocation and optimal ROI.
  • Act as a primary liaison between CJ ENM Global HQ (Korea) and the US office to align and localize marketing guidelines and coordinate closely with third party vendors and agencies to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Develop additional marketing opportunities to increase ticket sales when needed. Keep up with current marketing and social media trends to brainstorm new ideas and concepts for assets and promotions to market events.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in social media strategy, influencer marketing, and/or media buying, with a demonstrated ability to drive measurable growth and engagement.
  • Native or professional-level fluency in both English and Korean is required for seamless communication with HQ and local partners.
  • Possess an active network of marketing and cultural contacts to facilitate digital content creation and strategic distribution across diverse external channels.
  • Proficiency in basic graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express) is highly preferred.
  • Deep passion for and understanding of K-Pop and K-Culture, with a vision for its growth in the US market.
  • A proactive "builder" mentality with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team structure.
  • Flexibility to support events during evenings and weekends as needed.
