The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles: the Center for Community Well-Being has been strengthening the foundations of the LA community for over 140 years. With a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social impact, the LA Y serves hundreds of thousands of Angelenos each year across its 29 centers. Our Marketing and Communications team is charged with telling the powerful story of the Y—building awareness, engagement, and support for our mission while driving membership growth and fundraising success.
Position Summary
The Graphic Designer will serve as a key creative resource for the entire Association, supporting all 30 YMCA Centers with the development of templates, email layouts, signage, and digital assets. This highly skilled designer will bring at least 8 years of professional design experience, with proven ability to manage complex workloads, meet deadlines, and deliver polished, on-brand communications.
The role requires not only technical design expertise but also visual communication strategy—understanding how to structure and scaffold visual content to maximize clarity and impact across diverse audiences. In addition, the Graphic Designer will support copywriting needs, ensuring all designs reflect the YMCA’s voice while telling the Y’s story in a compelling and mission-driven way.
