About Synthreo

Synthreo is the AI layer for managed service providers. We give MSPs everything they need to run, brand, and bill an AI practice without hiring ML engineers: Threo, the white-labeled AI workspace their clients log into, and Pylon, where agents are built and run in production.

Were a small, senior team shipping real products that MSPs deploy to thousands of end users. Our platform handles retrieval and prompting under Zero Data Retention, platform-level tenant isolation, and deep ConnectWise, Autotask, and RMM integrations.

The Role

This is a new kind of role, and it doesnt map to a traditional job title. AI writes and reviews our code. What we need are people who can see the outcome before anything is built and wont stop until its real: define what \"done\" looks like for the person using it, direct coding agents to get there, and prove that what ships actually works.

Youll work across the platform: Threo (the client workspace), Wingtip (agentic execution from plain English requests), Pylon (agent creation and runtime), and Canopy (the control plane for every client tenant).

We dont care what your previous job title was. Tier 2 MSP techs whove been building with Claude Code, support engineers, ops people, product managers and founders are all welcome. Were not looking for people who want to hand-write code; were looking for people who know what the product should do because theyve lived on the user side of it, and who have started using AI to build it themselves.

What Youll Do

  • Take a product goal and define exactly what success looks like for the MSP or end user: the problem, expected behavior, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Direct AI coding agents through features, fixes, and tests, often across several workstreams at once, and learn our development workflow as you go.
  • Judge what the agents produced against the outcome you defined: does it solve the problem, for the right user, without breaking anything else? AI handles the code review; you own whether its right.
  • Use what we ship the way a customer would, and write bug reports precise enough to be fixed the first time.
  • Push back when something is technically \"done\" but isnt what users need.
  • Close the loop: tests, docs, and no dangling threads. The bar is \"thats done,\" not \"the happy path works.\"

What Were Looking For

We hire on vision, judgment, and AI fluency, not job titles or years of experience. If youve been using Claude Code (or Cursor, Lovable, Replit, or similar) to build things you actually use, we want to talk.

Must Have

  • Hands-on AI building. Youve used an AI coding tool to build something that you or others actually use, even something small, and you got hooked.
  • Outcome vision. You see the end result before anyone starts building, and you keep going until its real.
  • User instinct. Youve been the person using the software, so you know when a feature misses the point.
  • Curiosity about how software works. Data, APIs, what breaks and why. You dont need to write code by hand; you need to recognize when its wrong.
  • Ownership and clear async communication. When you pick up a feature, you finish it: tests, docs, no dangling threads, no partial solves left for someone else.
  • Clear written English. Your specs and bug reports are precise enough that an agent or a teammate gets it right the first time.

Nice to Have

  • Experience inside an MSP or IT services company (ConnectWise, Autotask, Datto RMM, etc.).
  • Running more than one AI agent at a time across separate tasks.
  • Exposure to LLM concepts: prompting, tool calling, MCP servers, retrieval.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS experience, as a builder or a power user.

Not Required

A CS degree, prior coding experience, or any particular job title.
