SharePoint Site Support – Software/Web Developer

Position Overview

Vision IT is seeking a SharePoint Site Support – Software/Web Developer to support mission-critical operations at Los Angeles Air Force Base. This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting SharePoint-based websites, applications, and collaboration environments in support of Department of Defense mission requirements.

The ideal candidate will combine strong SharePoint development experience with web/software development skills and an understanding of DoD cybersecurity and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain SharePoint sites, pages, workflows, and applications
• Provide day-to-day support for SharePoint environments, including troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Develop custom web solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies
• Support migration, modernization, and enhancement of legacy SharePoint content and applications
• Manage site permissions, access controls, and security configurations in accordance with DoD policies
• Ensure SharePoint solutions comply with cybersecurity requirements, including STIGs and RMF guidelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems, databases, and tools as required
• Perform testing, debugging, and performance optimization of SharePoint solutions
• Maintain documentation for site architecture, configurations, and development standards
• Provide user support and training for SharePoint functionality and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (must be current and transferable)
• CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
• Experience developing and supporting SharePoint (Online or On-Premises) environments
• Proficiency in web development technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs
• Experience with SharePoint administration, site configuration, and permissions management
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements and secure development practices
• Ability to work onsite full-time at Los Angeles Air Force Base

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Azure services
• Experience supporting DoD, Air Force, or Space Force environments
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
